The Caribbean Paradise is the latest inspiration for the cruise collection of Maria Grazia Chiuri. Last weekend, I was invited by the Dior team to celebrate the opening of the pop-up boutique in Tulum, it’s located at an amazing place inside the Azulik hotel. “Amazing” isn’t enough to describe this place. The environment is all about nature and sophistication. Everything is done with organic materials that perfectly blend with the fantastic architecture.
We stayed at the Be Tulum Hotel, a unique place in the middle of nature. It’s way they preserve the essence of the jungle is incredible. They make you walk through it to get to your room. Everything is very rustic and extremely beautiful.
Dior is one of my favorite brands, not only for its designs, but for the background and value that Maria Grazia brings, she has worked very hard to support women and social changes, therefore, she was awarded the French Legion of Honor. It’s admirable that the designer of a big French fashion house has so much love to Mexico and to our culture, for the 2020 cruise collection, she was inspired by the amazing landscapes of the Mexican paradise “Tulum” which, by the way, I’m completely in love with. All pieces are designed to be used on the beach or for hot climates. There are swuimsuits, cotton dresses, pink and white striped shirts and hair accessories, all with the phrase “J’Adior Tulum”. You definitely have to visit the pop-up store and see the new jungle-inspired prints.
For the celebration dinner, I wore a special edition Christian Dior Uniwax skirt and bar jacket in indigo wax cotton mix and a white Lady Dior bag.
